Adonit Jot Script Evernote Edition Fine Point Stylus

Adonit, a company that makes some of the best styluses out there like the Adonit Jot Pro announced a new product called the Jot Script Evernote Edition stylus. Like the name of the product suggests, it’s actually a special edition stylus where Evernote and Adonit collaborated to make this Bluetooth fine point stylus.

The Jot Script stylus uses a new PixelPoint Technology where the stylus uses a revolutionary 1.9mm tip instead of the standard 6.0mm rubber nib to give you better precision. The technology combines Bluetooth LE, accelerometer and Adonit’s SDK framework to give much more functionality to compatible apps. The fine-point stylus was designed to give you a similar experience of a ball point pen and it comes with a ribbed grip around an aluminum barrel. So it should feel pretty solid and well weighted.

The Jot Script uses a single AAA battery and connects to your iOS device via Bluetooth 4.0 which means only iPhone 4S and above, iPad mini, and the iPad 3rd generation and above. Since it’s an Evernote edition stylus, it takes advantage of their Penultimate app features like the new Zoom feature. When the stylus tip approaches the screen, Penultimate will respond by enlarging the writing space and as the user writes, the digital paper drifts along. It also comes with palm rejection feature where you don’t get unnecessary smudges when taking notes.

One thing to note though is that the stylus isn’t a pressure-sensitive stylus which is a downside. If you’re interested in the Jot Script stylus, you can order it from Adonit for $74.99.
